DESCRIPTION:In our two previous conversations on American Values we talked about the values at the time of the founding and what values we would like to see in the present and future. \nOur discussion for World Values Day will come at this from a different angle and you need not have been at the previous discussions to participate. \nThe US Values Alliance looks at individual values from multiple angles\, but our overarching goal is to understand how people can activate their highest values. \nAt this session\, we will discuss the value of naming values to aspire to. \n\nWould publishing “official” American Values change anything?\nHow does a community actually choose what values are important to them?\nHow does a community assess that they are living up to the values they name and hold\nthemselves accountable?\nWho decides the values – voters or elected officials?\nIn France\, they use a panel system to decide what is “French culture”.  Would that be respected here?\n\nJoin us for a fun and friendly discussion on Thursday\, October 15th at 9am Pacific in honor of both World Values Day and America’s 250 Anniversary. \nSign up HERE
