American Values at 250 – Part Two

May 20 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am PDT

In session one, we looked at the values expressed by the founders in 1776.

Each person then contributed one value they think is important for the future of our democracy.

We will look at the words offered on March 17 and have a juicy discussion about how to select the values that best represent our desires.

Here are the words that were offered that day:

  • Democracy – inclusive, fair, balanced
  • Education – Lifelong learning, intention for people to expand who they are, necessary for self governance
  • Stewardship – Care for animals, earth, water, each other, collective
  • Courage – to stand up when difficult
  • Kindness
  • Action
  • Character
  • Integrity – Aligned with self
  • Participation – A sense of expectation to participate

What values might be missing?

Are there any values you object to?

How would you publicize and socialize these values?

Come for a casual and thoughtful discussion on Wed, May 20 at 9am Pacific.
